Enbgine will not start after impeller replacement or after seawaterpumpservice

If the shaft in the water pump presses axially on the carrier which is already in the gear mounted on the diesel pump, this will have problems delivering fuel in the correct way. Unfortunately, there is nothing to position the bearings on the shaft in a seawater pump, so it must always be measured how far into the shaft the bearing should sit before disassembly. Applies to all engines in the AQAD30/31, KAD32 and AQAD40/41, KAD42/43/44/300 series. Measured from the contact surface of the pump against the register cover to the end of the shaft should be close to 17-18 mm.

There is an o-ring on the flange that goes into the register cover. The distance from the end of the shaft into which the carrier must fit and to the edge of the bearing must be 18mm.
